An art fair claiming to be the first dedicated to countries outside the Western tradition opens in London today.
Art13 at Olympia will showcase figures from countries such as Brazil, China, Singapore and South Africa as well as the United Arab Emirates.
Former ICA boss Philip Dodd, chairman of Art13’s advisory panel, said there was an enthusiasm for work from further afield that was not being satisfied by the public galleries.
A total of 128 galleries from 29 countries will be represented. Art13 London runs until Sunday, admission £11.
