AS SHE climbed the Eiffel Tower and spied her art work on the roof top of a museum more than 1km below, Lena Nyadbi burst into tears.

For those around her, the emotion didn’t really need to be explained.

It was symbolic of a long journey for the 77-year-old elder from a tiny red dust community in the Kimberleys to the art-conscious streets of the French capital Paris.
